Caden’s Quest to Help Find a Cure
A very special congratulations to Caden Hart, who on August 29 completed his very own quest to raise awareness of Pulmonary Fibrosis and generate funds to support research into the deadly disease in memory of his Granny Rita. The Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation was honoured to receive $1060 from 8 year old Caden from Nelson House, Manitoba. These generous funds will contribute to research for a cure for Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Caden’s mother Candace wrote about the inspiring initiative by young Caden.
“Caden, along with his Uncles Sheldon and Clinton, his Cousins Orlando and Hope, biked around our community for a total of 11kms. He was able to raise $1060.00. These proceeds are enclosed.
It was quite an emotional event not only for me, but for a lot of community members who witnessed this event. We also had people driving in vehicles behind as well. The determination that Caden had was so tremendous we had to convince him to limit his journey to avoid over exerting himself. He kept saying “I want to keep going, I’m doing this for Granny”. Next year should be even better.”
It is with the efforts and inspiration from heroes like Caden that we will find a cure for Pulmonary Fibrosis together.
Thank you Caden and Nelson House!
