DESCRIPTION:After a long winter indoors\, getting active again can feel both exciting and challenging. Join us this May as Colin Mathieson shares practical insights on transitioning back to movement\, building momentum\, and making the most of the warmer months ahead. From the benefits and drawbacks of a more sedentary winter to simple\, realistic ways to get moving again\, this session is designed to meet you where you are. \n\n\n\nColin brings a unique and inspiring perspective as a four-time Paralympian and three-time World Champion in wheelchair racing. Now a Social Worker at Deer Lodge Centre supporting both the PRIME and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs\, he combines lived experience with professional expertise to help others build confidence\, resilience\, and sustainable activity habits. \n\n\n\nThis webinar will take place in person in Winnipeg and will be recorded and shared in the CPFF video library a few weeks after the event for those unable to attend live. \n\n\n\nHow to Participate – In person 1:15 PM CDT \n\n\n\nIn person: Join the Winnipeg support group at Peace Lutheran Church\, 350 Gilmore Av\, Winnipeg. A four-time Paralympian and three-time World Champion in wheelchair racing\, Colin built an exceptional athletic career defined by resilience and determination. Following his time in sport\, he earned a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Manitoba in 2016. Today\, Colin brings both lived experience and professional expertise to his role as a Social Worker at Deer Lodge Centre\, where he supports patients in the PRIME and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs.
