In December 2020, Fidler was awarded a $20,000 CPFF research grant to investigate the incidence and prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis interstitial lung disease in Ontario. Previous research includes the diagnosis and management of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and epidemiology of sarcoidosis.
