Get Involved

Awareness Month

September is Pulmonary Fibrosis Awareness Month. Volunteers across the country hold events and awareness activities to educate the public, the media and government decision-makers, about the devastating impact of this disease and the hope that research brings. People living with the disease and their families, friends, colleagues and communities find satisfaction in participating in these initiatives. You will too.

One of the simplest ways to get involved and have an impact is to make a donation to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. Your contributions fund education and support programs for those living with the disease and fund much needed research for new treatments, and ultimately, a cure.

CPFF relies almost solely on the hard work and dedication of its volunteers to deliver programs and raise funds. From members of the board of directors and support group leaders, to event organizers and advocates, responsibilities and time-commitments are flexible. You’re sure to find the right volunteer opportunity for you.

CPFF relies primarily on individual donations to fund its operations and research. Maybe you have a great idea and the initiative to organize a fundraising event or activity in your community. Big, or small, every bit helps.

CPFF is fortunate to have outstanding sponsors across the country from national corporations to local merchants.

Please contact the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation if you are interested in learning about our sponsorship packages, offering opportunities to reach a desired audience while supporting a worthy cause.

As a person living with pulmonary fibrosis or someone who cares for them, your voice is essential to the success of our advocacy efforts. Whether writing to your government representatives, meeting with them in person, or speaking to the media, you help make the message real.
