Dr. Onofre Moran-Mendoza discusses how the diagnosis of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) and other interstitial lung diseases (ILD) is reached. Dr. Moran starts by comparing normal lungs with interstitial lung diseases. He then provides an overview of ILD including IPF, speaks about the approach to the diagnosis of ILD and IPF, and shows the importance and the way to early diagnose IPF.
Dr. Moran completed an Internal Medicine specialty in Mexico City (UNAM) and his Fellowship in Respirology subspecialty at UBC. He is an Associate Professor at the Division of Respirology and Sleep Medicine and is the founder and Director of the Interstitial Lung Diseases Clinic and Program at Queen’s University where he follows over 110 patients with IPF.
