In this webinar, Dr. Ciaran Scallan discussed lung transplants during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Scallan is a Staff Respirologist at the Firestone Institute for Respiratory Health and Assistant Professor at McMaster University.
In December 2020, Dr. Scallan was awarded a $20,000 CPFF research grant to study the feasibility of using a sputum (phlegm) guided approach to treat chronic cough in PF patients using inhaled corticosteroids and azithromycin (a macrolide antibiotic) during a 12-week period.
