The Role of Respiratory Therapists in Managing PF – Jenna Jangalee & Tina Hsu

Jenna Jangalee is a Registered Respiratory Therapist with 15 years experience in the field. She is a Certified Respiratory and Tobacco Educator and the co-founder of Poplar Pulmonary Wellness.

Jenna has worked different roles as a Respiratory Therapist including working with patients admitted into hospital to support their airway and breathing, to spending time one on one with clients and their families to develop respiratory care plans as an Asthma/COPD Educator, and performing breathing tests in clinics in the community. She’s enjoyed getting to know her patients and being a part of their care team.

Tina Hsu is a passionate Respiratory Therapist and Certified Respiratory Educator with a wide breadth of experience. Her career has included working in the Emergency and Intensive Care Units at Vancouver General Hospital as well as long-term and community care centres. Tina has worked with patients in acute distress and those looking to better manage their chronic conditions.

Currently, Tina is a Clinical Site Coordinator at Thompson Rivers University Respiratory Therapy Program where she guides students through their clinical years. Tina was also elected by her peers to be the Director of Education for the BC Society of Respiratory Therapists where she helped enrich the practice of her colleagues across British Columbia.
