My mother Heather was diagnosed with IPF about 5 years ago. She passed away in August this year. I watched this vicious disease literally take her breath away but I have never known a stronger woman in my life. She taught me everything I know and fought this disease right to the end with everything she had so she could meet her first grandson. She was only 60 years old. I miss her every single day. Her grandson will hear stories about her strength and resilience. I am truly blessed to have been raised by such a great woman. My mother is my hero.
